Happy Cat heads to SuperZoo 2022!
Happy Cat is purring with excitement to attend the SuperZoo trade show, which runs this month from Aug. 23 -25. This is the largest pet retail event of the year in North America, and we’re honored to be a part of it again. The World Pet Association (WPA) established SuperZoo in 1950 as an avenue for those in the pet industry to connect and network. The show has steadily grown with each passing year, and, understandably, the Happy Cat Team is looking forward to this “cat-tastic” event. If you’re planning on attending, maybe we’ll get a chance to CATch up on the trade show floor?
This year’s SuperZoo Expo will be held in Las Vegas, NV, at the luxurious Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. Besides being a fantastic opportunity for networking within the industry, SuperZoo has earned its place as North America’s premier pet education and retail event. There are expected to be approximately 1,200 exhibitors, 233 of which will be first-time attendees! An expected 800 new products will be launched at this event, and specialized trade show booths will encompass a variety of product genres, including the latest pet food and snacks, all-naturals, fashion, accessories, and grooming.

The SuperZoo event will offer new buyer and early showcase access and officially begin on Tuesday, Aug. 23 at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 5:00 p.m. On Wednesday, Aug. 24, the hours will be the same as the previous day, and on the show’s final day, Aug. 25, the expo runs from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. After the show closes for the day on the 24th, a SuperZoo Beach Party will be held poolside at the Mandalay Beach from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. for industry professionals to network while enjoying food, drinks, live music, and giveaways. Yes, your Happy Cat Team will definitely be in attendance for this soiree!
SuperZoo also offers industry-leading educational classes and workshops at the expo, with 40 expert speakers, 75 seminars and sessions, and 85 hours of education. The seminars will cover a wide array of pet-related topics, such as grooming, retail, animal wellness, and updates to the service industry. This event truly is a one-stop shop for all things pet-related. This year’s SuperZoo is going to be more cat-erriffic than ever before!
Event attendees will have no problem keeping busy with everything from exhibitor booths to events and educational sessions and scoping out all the industry’s latest pet products. As if all this isn’t reason enough to get your tail to Las Vegas for SuperZoo, you can feel good about any and every dollar you spend at the event. The World Pet Association has donated more than $4 million in proceeds over the past decade to help support and advance organizations in the pet industry. Now that’s something to meow about!
